Listing Practices - 12 hour

In the course the students will cover: Steps to prepare a Competitive Market Analysis, estimating net proceeds, listing presentations and contracts, marketing and servicing listings, presenting offers and responsibilities and services during closings.

Buying Practices - 12 hours
This course will familiarize the students with buying practices such as qualifying buyers, financing, working with buyers, writing offers and responsibilities and services during closings.

Developing Professionalism & Ethical Practices - 12 hours
This course deals with the relationship between the real estate professional and the public, the relationship between the real estate professional and the client and how you should deal with fellow real estate professionals.

GRI 101: Listing Sellers & Capturing Buyers - 24 hours (Equivalent to Listing & Buying Practices)
Part one of this course provides REALTORS® steps to plan for their success in three important areas: time management, setting goals, and business planning. As they learn to prioritize and set goals for themselves, they can also apply these techniques to working with their sellers and buyers. Part two of this seminar provides REALTORS® with legal practical methods of locating potential sellers, outlines the methods to help the seller appropriately price the property, and lists techniques to most effectively market the property. Part three addresses buyer representation, one of the fastest growing trends in real estate today. The necessary skills to look out for a buyer's best interest are considerably different from those necessary to sell a house. Finally, REALTORS® should be aware of the protections offered by federal laws: fair housing laws, Real Estate Protection Act (RESPA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), and the Truth-in-Lending law.

GRI 102: Basic Skills for Ethical Decision Making - 12 hours (Equivalent to Developing Professionalism & Ethical Practices)
Are real estate agents really unethical? What are the ethical problems facing real estate practitioners today? Can ethics be taught? These are some of the questions addressed in this 12 hour program. We will identify the major ethical issues and problems confronting real estate licensees and to apply methods to deal with those concerns. In addition to meeting Iowa's licensing requirements; this course also satisfies NAR membership renewal requirements.

If this is your first-time renewal, DO NOT take Ethics and Law Update. These classes are only for agents who are renewing their license for the second (or more) time.
