Legislative "Bus-In" Hill Visits

February 26, 2008

Updated Weather Information
Updated: 8:15AM, 2/26/2008

The weather is sunny and clear in Des Moines as of Tuesday morning. Road conditions are expected to improve during the morning.

Due to road conditions, we have revised the schedule for Tuesday's bus-in day. We will still be holding the event, however, the lunch has been moved back 1 hour from 11:30am to 12:30pm. This should give more time for roads to improve around the state.

Please click here for road conditions around the state.

Mark your calendar for this year's Legislative Bus-In day, scheduled for February 26, 2008. This event brings hundreds of REALTORS® to Des Moines to meet with legislators and discuss important real estate issues.

The legislature needs to hear from REALTORS® regarding the issues that are important to real estate and important to keep the real estate industry a vibrant piece of Iowa's economy.

This event is FREE for REALTORS® and includes bus transportation from "hubs" around the state, as well as food and drink while in Des Moines.

This event is critical to our legislative success in the coming year and has become one of the largest political action events for the Iowa legislature.

Don't Believe in Political Action?

FINE.

When they . . . . . .

  • eliminate the mortgage interest deduction and
  • raise property taxes and
  • tax your commission and
  • increase your liability . . . .

You will ask, “Where was IAR?”

And we will reply, “Where were you?”

We need YOU at this event...
Don't leave it up to somebody else.

Real estate is your livelihood.
Is one day too much to invest
in the future of your career?
