Home Sales and Median Sale Price Increased in February

Iowa home sales and median sales price increased last month according to February Housing Trends by the Iowa Association of REALTORS. 

Median sales price of $152,950 was 2 percent higher comparing February of last year to this February.  Sold homes increased 3.4 percent from 2,031 homes in February 2018 to 2,101 in February 2019.

Keeping with the trend for faster sales, homes in February sold 18 percent faster than February of last year. The average days of market was 73 days compared to 89 days last year.

The inventory of homes in February rose .4 percent higher than February of last year. 12,554 homes were available for sale last month.
