Who should take the Broker License courses?

Anyone interested in becoming a broker (or wants the additional real estate knowledge) and has been actively licensed for 24 months.

What will be taught in each course?

  • Real Estate Office Organization- review the brokerage business of today and tomorrow, the details of opening a real estate office, the planning and budgeting process needed to successfully run real estate office.

  • Real Estate Office Administration- learn how to develop manual, determine the facilities needed for an office, how to maintain proper records, and discuss legal issues related to running a successful real estate office.

  • Principles of Appraising and Market Analysis-  learn the basics regarding the appraisal process and the methods of estimating value.

  • Real Estate Trust Accounts- learn how to establish and maintain a real estate trust account properly. Bring a calculator to class as actual trust accounting exercises will be part of the class.

  • Contract Law/Writing- learn a basic understanding of contract law and their role in the real estate contract process.

  • Real Estate Law & Agency Law- learn the areas in which agents have been found consistently liable. The agency section of this course addresses the basic principles of agency relationships.

  • Real Estate Finance- be introduced to basic finance as related to the selling and buying of real estate.

  • State & Federal Laws- review the federal & state laws to real estate that impacts their business daily. Some of the areas covered include: Agency, Environmental Legislation, Civil Rights, RESPA, etc.

  • Human Resources Management- explore employment relationships, management styles, recruiting, hiring, evaluation, training, and termination.
